1. Visiting Phap Lam temple
Located on Ong Ich Khiem Street, Hai Chau district, Phap Lam temple was built in 1934. After four years of rebuilding since 2009, Phap Lam temple has become more and more famous because of a giant Buddha statue made by gold which is put inside the temple and other giant statues made by bronze. They make a bright and imposing scene of Buddhist architecture. Nowadays, the temple is used for worship, religious education and various Buddhist activities as well as tourist sites.
2. Visiting Pho Da temple
Designed and built in 1927 by Upajjhaya Thich Ton Thang and been through some repairs till 1983, Pho Da temple is one of the can-not-missed destinations in Da Nang.
The architecture of Pho Da is incredibly amazing, highlighted by a large oval lake in front of the temple and an over 3m Guanyin statue. Especially, there is a Memorial built for over 30 years, aiming to honor best meaningful commandments in Buddhism.
3. Go to Ba Na Hill by cable car
Ba Na – Nui Chua is a mountain of Hoa Vang district, Da Nang to 40 km to the southwest, 1487 m higher than sea level. It is a very famous site in Da Nang with the combination between attractive natural sceneries and amazingly modern resorts and entertaining centers. To go to Ba Na, you should choose cable car – the world’s longest cable car and also highest non-stop cable car which is recognized by Guinness World Record.
Sitting inside the car, you will have chance to see the picturesque view of Da Nang from height. You can look down and see mountains, waterfall, forests and stream under your feet. You can look up and see cloud and fog been around the high trees. And you can look further to see the view of Da Nang city, the imposing ocean and Son Tra peninsula. It is a fantastic experience.
4. Hiring bike or motorbike to go around the city
With the advantages of position and terrain, Da Nang has beautiful river run along the city, long-stretched seashore with many stunning beaches and many other beautiful landscapes. 5. Exploring Ngu Hanh Son mountain (Marble Mountains)
Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngũ Hành Sơn; “Five elements mountains”) is a cluster of five marble and limestone hills located in Ngu Hanh Son ward, south of Da Nang city in Vietnam. The five ‘mountains’ are named after the five elements; Kim (metal), Thuy (water), Moc (wood), Hoa (fire) and Tho (earth).
With a huge number of caves and tunnels in all mountains, you will find very interested and excited in exploring every detail. Especially, there are a lot of Buddhist statues and temples built inside the caves. Spending one day to visit Ngu Hanh Son is a must-do thing for you in Da Nang.
