- Nha Tho Lon Hanoi (St Joseph’s Cathedral)
Located in the central district of Hanoi, this 127 years-old cathedral was the one of the first construction built by French Colonist in 1886. Nha Tho Lon is not only the church to serve 4 million Catholics, but also a symbol of Gothic architecture remained in Hanoi.
Nha Tho Lon was built with stone slabs with 64.5m in height, 20.5m in width and featured with 2 bell towers, square in shape, rising to a height of 103 ft (31 m) and each tower fitted with five bells. The interior is even more impressive with its tall stained glass windows, pointed arches and gilt sanctuary.
Nha Tho Lon is one of the most attractive tourism destinations in Hanoi. And especially, on Christmas, it is the most favorite place that people gather to celebrate.
- The Most Holy Redeemer, Hue city
This is one of the biggest and most magnificent churches in Vietnam. The incredible large area of the church has triangle shape. It is Roman architecture with 70m long, 37m wide. The bell tower has 3 storeys with a 53m pyramid.
The church was built in 1959 and completed in 1962 at Nguyen Hue Street. It is a outstanding building of both architecture and function.
- Nha Tho Duc Ba (Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica)
It is a large-scale and imposing architecture which attract many visitors coming to visit. It is considered as the sumbol of Ho Chi Minh City. Being through over 130 years with a lot of changes of history, war and economy, but the cathedral still remains its intactness as a masterpiece of Sai Gon. Its architecture is the combination of Gothic and Roman style with almost all materials imported from France. It has two bell towers, reaching a height of 58 meters.
Nha Tho Duc Ba is a particularly important place on Christmas where a huge number of people gather to celebrate Christmas.
- Phat Diem Cathedral (Ninh Binh Province)
Phat Diem Cathedral is located in Kim Son district, Ninh Binh Province. “Phat Diem” means generating beauty, named by famous Vietnamese poet and scholar Nguyen Cong Tru. Built during 24 years in 19th century, it is a cross between traditional Vietnamese architecture and Europe architecture.
