Nha Trang is the most famous coastal town in Vietnam. It is considered as a wonderful paradise for sea lovers. Nha Trang covers every detail to become a perfect coastal town with beautiful beaches, attractive islands and bays, glamorous seascapes and landscapes as well as modern resorts, hotel and delicious foods.

Here are 7 destinations that you must visit among various stunning destinations in Nha Trang

1.    Hon Mun Island

Hon Mun Island is situated in the south of Nha Trang Bay in Nha Trang city. It is very well-known with super pure blue water and charming coral reefs. The island is the first and only marine reserve in Vietnam and be measured as the best biodiversity area in Vietnam by World Wildlife Fund with more than 350 species of coral.

In Hon Mun, you can enjoy the charming beauty of the beaches, featured by cliffs and small stones lying along the seashore. Besides swimming and sun bathing under bright sunlight, the most famous activity in Hon Mun is exploring undersea world. You can go scuba diving or snorkeling to see the most beautiful coral reefs in Vietnam and abundant marine creatures.

2.    Hon Tam Island

Hon Tam is another amazing island in Nha Trang, located about 7km from Nha Trang city center. Unlike Hon Mun Island with coral reefs and a rich marine biodiversity, Hon Tam is attractive for its stunning and pristine beaches, featured with stretched white sand, gentle wave and green-all-year tropical forests. Moreover, there are a lot of bungalows and resorts lying along the beaches, behind coconuts lines and flower gardens as well as tropical trees for visitors staying on the beach overnight.

In Hon Tam, you can find every activity of a tourist island, including swimming, lying on the sand, camping on the beach, making BBQ party or go fishing and ride bikes around the island.

3.    Dai Lanh beach

The breathtaking beauty of crescent-shaped Dai Lanh beach will surprise you, no matter how many times you come here. It is special from the very pure white sand which stretches over 2km along the sea, the super blue water which can be seen to the bottom to a clean freshwater stream pouring into the ocean or two spectacular mountains standing behind the sand. All of them create an both imposing and poetic scenery that blow you away.

Especially, coming to Dai Lanh beach, you can also visit two nearby fishing villages called Khai Luong, Dam Mon to discover the most featured things of a Central region’s fishing village. You can also hire a motorbike to visit Dai Lanh Cape with a very wonderful lighthouse to see the dawn. The beach is also near Ca Pass and Phu Yen Province.

4.    Van Phong Bay

From Nha Trang center, go about 50km to the north, you will see the most wild and wonderful natural Van Phong Bay as a small paradise on the sea. The bay looks like a large lake in circle shape, surrounded by green islands.  The beautiful landscape is endowed with wonderful natural sceneries and beaches of fine sand, an ideal temperate climate, surrounded by hills, mountains and tropical forests. The sea is all the more embellished with colorful coral reefs, vestiges of mangrove forests, rare sea creatures in an ideal environment.

The weather in Van Phong is warm all the year round and the natural environment is almost intact and unpolluted, which is an ideal place for eco-tourism. You can visit here to explore the beauty and diversify of both marine and on-land ecosystem.

5.    Ninh Van Bay

Ninh Van Bay is the most beautiful bay in Nha Trang, according to the opinion of many international tourists. The bay is the combination of natural beauty with best position, crystal sand, stunning beaches, outstanding sceneries and luxury and state-of-art villas and resorts as well as various beach activities such as diving, surfing, windsurfing, fishing and going kayak.
You can join a lot of activities in Ninh Van Bay, including normal beach activities, exploring the tropical forests and marine life, or simply enjoy the quiet and relaxing life around pristine nature.

6.    Hon Chong Promontory

The very unique destination Hon Chong is actually a rock complex lying on and toward the sea, located right in the city center. It is like an intersectional mark between mountain and sea. The stones here are diversified in colors, shapes and sizes. It is also the best view to see the whole city of Nha Trang as well as other offshore islands.

You can come to Hon Chong to get away from the noisy and crowded city, go fishing or listen to a lot of versions about the legend of Hon Chon that local people made up to explain this special promontory. From Hon Chong, you can easily go to other beautiful beaches in the city, Co Tien Mountain, Hon Tre Island and other famous places in Nha Trang.

7.    Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography

Nha Trang Institute os Oceanography is the biggest museum in Asia in displaying and preserving marine ecological system with over 11,000 samples about sea creatures. The museum in the institute has many showrooms of sea creatures and marine ecosystem.  Visiting the aquarium, you seem to be lost in a colorful world of rare and valuable sea creatures, such as sea anemones, red and blue starfish, holothurians, snakes, tortoises, shrimp, fish, etc.

Visiting the institute, you can have chance to discover more about the abundant life of ocean, gain many knowledge of marine potential and preservation work as well as raise the awareness of protecting the sea.
