The 60th anniversary of Hanoi Capital’s liberation is coming (October 10th 1954 – October 10th 2014), the streets in the city are decorated with flags, flowers and posters, panels in the very exciting and festive atmosphere.
On the main streets such as Ba Trieu, Dinh Tien Hoang, Trang Tien, Trang Thi, Vietnamese flags are hung along the walksides, creating a very colorful scene. Especially, in Hoan Kiem Lake area, plenty of flowers, various pictures of Hanoi’s development in the pass 60 years, slogans and panels such as “Happy Hanoi’s liberation day”, “celebrating 60 years of Hanoi’s liberation”, etc, sparkling street lights,…
Moreover, to celebrate the special day, a lot of interesting and meaningful activities are implemented, including Dragon Dance Festival (4th October), music and art performances, firework party in the 10th October, and a lot of festivals, exhibitions, etc.

According to the prestige travel site, Hanoi is modern and developing city, but never forgets its history, culture and tradition.
