The 2014 Lantern Festival will be held in Saturday night in 6th September in Sa Pa Town in order to celebrate Full Moon Festival. The festival will have 55 lanterns from local units and schools.

Sa Pa (Lao Cai Province) is going to hold Lantern Festival

The lanterns joining to the festival this year must be less than 1.8m in height, less than 3.5m in length. The concepts and decoration is various and creative which is highlight cultural identity.

The program of 2014 Lantern Festival will include Dragon dancing, Lion dancing, music performances, etc. Especially, 55 lanterns will be taken around the town so that the locals and tourists can see them in anywhere they stand. The most beautiful and meaningful lantern will get the first prize of the year.

The Lantern Festival is annually held in Sa Pa Town, aiming to keep traditional features in the Full Moon Festival for the locals and attract tourists.

Coming to Sa Pa this weekend, you will have chance to enjoy the very great weather, charming and imposing natural sceneries and festive atmosphere.
