- 1. Yang Bay Waterfall
Yang Bay waterfall is located in Khanh Phu commune, Khanh Vinh district, about 45km from Nha Trang city. Yang Bay in Raglay language means “the fall on haven”. It contains 3 waterfalls including Yang Bay, Yang Chang and Ho Cho with the total length of 2000m. The fall is covered by primeval forests with diverse ecosystem which keep the climate in here always cool and fresh. The waterfall was invested and built into a flower park and a natural resort. There is a 100 m2 lake in the middle of a park. A series of small waterfalls in the area are streaming down to the lake making up the white water currents. Besides, wooden bridges, stone-made steps, small caves exert a challenging feeling for tourists. In the resistance wars, the small caves were used as a shelter for the revolutionary soldiers.
Yang Bay waterfall was developed to become a potential tourism site with the combination of beautiful natural sceneries and a lot of interesting activities and tourist services.
- 2. Suoi Mau waterfall
Suoi Mau is a waterfall on the flow of Mau Stream, located in Khanh Thuong Commune, Khanh Vinh district, about 60km from Nha Trang. The waterfall is about 30m high, divided into four floors. Lying between the floors is different lakes wrapped by imposing cliffs. Unlike Yang Bay waterfall, Suoi Mau is very pristine and purely natural site which is suitable for adventure lovers. The water is fresh and cool, fully pouring all year round, even in the dry season. The fauna and flora system in here are very diverse featured by various species of orchid, rare and unique plants and amphibians.
The way to Suoi Mau waterfall is pretty rough and twisty. But it is definitely worthy when you can enjoy the impressive beauty of nature, swim in the super cool water and explore the life of Rgalai ethnic minority community.
- 3. Ta Gu Waterfall
Ta Gu is another pristine waterfall located in Khanh Son District. Ta Gu waterfall and its surroundings on Chalo mountain are breathtaking. The fall of 30m looks like an elephant ivory pours into a charming pool where you can take off your clothes and swim.
Ta Gu also supplies water for the south-eastern part of Khanh Son. The water flows toward the villages in a lovely stream. Again visitors can rest or camp on the riverbanks before climbing to the top of Ta Gu. Those who want to spend the night there can stay in nha san (stilt house) along the streams, drink ruou can (spirits made from rice, sticky rice or corn) and eat ga nuong dat set, for which a chicken gets coated in clay and put in the fire until the clay turns red. Then the clay is broken and removed, together with the chicken’s feathers. People say chicken meat cooked in this way tastes better than boiled or roasted chicken. Sitting around the fire at night, you can think of the streams you have seen and listened the unique sounds of the dan da or gongs.
- 4. Hoa Lan Stream
Hoa Lan (or Sy Tu) stream is located in Hon Heo Peninsula, about 30km to the Northeast of Nha Trang. It contains a lot of waterfalls with different attractions. The stream flows through high and imposing mountain of Hon Heo, creating spectacular streams. And then, it pours into Nha Phu Lagoon. Hoa Lan Stream and Hon Heo Peninsula were invested into a eco tourism site with various services and activities.
