Rain in the Mountain City Festival (Mua Tren Pho Nui) will be held from August 7 to 10 in this poetic city. This is the festival belonging to series of programs under the aegis of National Tourism Year – Central Highlands. On the aim of making rain become a tourism attraction, the festival will properly bring out the best and impressive things.

Da Lat has tropical savanna climate, therefore, it has 2 seasons in year: dry season and rain season. The rain season usually begin in May and finish in October. Because it can last more than 6 months of rain in the city, taking advantage from rain to make tourism attraction is a great idea.

“Waiting for the rain” is the first program in “Charming rain in Da Lat” Festival. It is held in Lam Vien Square and some of restaurants in the city. You can sit in a warm space, enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to beautiful songs about love, life and rain.

The festival finish with art show named “Angels of the rain” in August 10 at Lam Vien Square. The show is not only a goodbye gift from Da Lat people, but also a wonderful gastronomic party with Da Lat’s wine, tea, coffee and special foods.
