The best time to visit Hanoi: The weather in Vietnam is divided into two main seasons: rainy season (from January to September) and dry season (from October to April), but Hanoi still experiences four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. When it comes to weather, autumn (October) is regarded as the best time of the year though the winter time falling from November to March is always thought to be the ideal time to visit the city.

Transport in Hanoi: The main types of transport in Hanoi are motorbikes, buses, taxies and bicycles. Nowadays, there are so many motorbikes in Hanoi that it adversely affects the environment and heath, and triggers traffic congestion within the main routes, especially during rush hours. In the Old Quarter, an area near Hoan Kiem Lake at the center of the city, you can travel on cyclos to have a tour round that area. You can also hire a motorbike or a bike to yourself make a trip around Hanoi and explore streets and corners of the quiet city. Situated in Soc Son District, Noi Bai international airport is the biggest airport in the northern region of Vietnam. Here you can easily take taxies, motorbikes or buses to go about 40 kilometers to the inner city.

Tourist attractions: Hanoi is often remembered as something so called “city of lakes”. As its name tells, the city is surrounded by a lot of lakes. Among these, Hoan Kiem lake (or Sword lake) and West lake (hồ tây) are truly unforgettable symbols of an ancient and inspirational city. Both of them are famous for historical and cultural significance to the Vietnamese people. During a visit to these lakes, you can spend time seeing other nearby historic sites, bike, jog or just enjoy the scenic beauty of the lakes. Besides, the Old Quarter is an unique place with appealing appearance in Hanoi. It remains the street layout and architecture of old Hanoi over centuries and attracts nearly every tourist coming to visit in Vietnam. The temple of literature, one pillar pagoda, flag tower of Hanoi, Hanoi citadel and Ba Dinh square are other cultural sites that recall historical memories of a charming city.

Hanoi food: Hanoi is the city with a variety of famous dishes that are widely known to both local people and tourists; such as phở, chả cá, bánh cuốn and cốm. These dishes are all thought to originate from Hanoi and their own recipes quickly spread to other localities for their distinct tastes. In Hanoi, regarding restaurants, there is a wide range of selections for you to choose from in fields of traditional or modern food, local or foreign food and so on.
