Chinese
Yes, Chinese passport holders need a visa to Vietnam
How to apply
There are two options to get visa to Vietnam:
1- Contact the Vietnam Embassy in your country or most convenient Vietnam Embassy to get Vietnam visa done there. The procedure may take 5-7 working days and requires some kinds of paperwork.
2- Apply Vietnam visa online to get an approval letter and pick up visa at Vietnam airport for visa stamp. This method is considered to be the quickest, safe way to get Vietnam visa. The total fee for Vietnam visa on arrival service is normally cheaper by 20 % in comparison with the cost getting visa at Vietnam Embassy. However for Chinese passport holders, Vietnam visa on arrival works only when they do not depart from China mainland because Chinese Immigration Officers at China airport will not accept a visa approval letter. Therefore, if you wish to use Vietnam visa on arrival, you can transit or fly to another country before arrival to Vietnam.
Note:
– Vietnam visa on arrival works well for air travel only. If you plan to arrive by land or depart from China mainland, please contact to Vietnam Embassy for arranging visa in advance.
– If you plan to arrive by cruise, you can contact the cruise operator for visa procedures.
